I havent gone for winter steelies in a few years....legs cant handle the shoreline rocks anymore. I miss those fish"
Mine can't either, I only went one time for about four days, I had a rented noodle rod with 4 lb test on it, worked my way out in the middle of the Dam spillway to one rock that I seen no one was casting(shoulder to shoulder) and first cast I hooked up. 30 mins. later I landed a 12 pound coho, I was ecstatic, all excited when some guy told me it was a garbage fish. Haaaaa, I still loved it. Next day I was in a guided drift boat and caught a 8 lb brown and a 6 lb rainbow. Still no glory of a steelhead. lol At least you can say you caught them.

Yes bummer. Snow hasn't left for months in PA. It's almost 40 today though, but new storms coming n still thick with snow. I'm thinking of pouring a bucket iof hot water on tbe ground to try to melt first few inches and just dig.... N dig... There is bound to be something every few feet here
