The team from the Golden Knights gave us a Framed plaque in honor of our service. My buddy Eric and I where invited to the airshow in Hillsboro,Oregon and recieved VIP treatment from the team.We had breakfast with them, and they drove us to their jump plane and we had time to get on the plane and visit all the members of the team. Its was nice of them to do this in honor of ALL Veterans.May I also say that most of them have at least 6000 jumps,Most are from "Special Forces",and they are elite in their job and are all serving our country. In the photo left-right-Eric Czernowski US Army 4th Inf. Awesome! Congrats to you! I have a little story of my own to tell. When I was a young trooper in 1961, I visited the Golden Knights (latter all died in a plane crash) team room. On their bulletin board was a cartoon that cracked me up so much that I remember it to this day. There were two jumpers, one British, one American. They were side by side, only one chute was pointing up. The caption read. " I say old boy, one of is is going the wrong way!" Now to a paratrooper, that was funny!
