USA BUTTON, REAL OR FAKE?

So im snowed in and im going through my finds from the fall. Cleaning them up, came across this flat button that was caked with dirt started to clean it off and seen USA. So carefully dry brushed the rest off..If this is real its incredible shape for being pewter. ..
Any help would be great.
