Using Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 as a way to find new places to detect.

Hello everyone. As much as I love to use maps to find places to find some treasure, sometimes it gets a little boring. I recently downloaded Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on my Xbox as it was free and my daughter wanted to have a go at flying around. The game is based on Google Earth's data from satellites and terrain. YES the entire planet. Looks really good from 1000+ feet. You can see different angles of the terrain around you and can also use free floating camera to move around. Figured after a few hours of flying that maybe I can see my area from a different perspective. I think I found some new parks that seem like they have some potential. After looking at the flight sim and then Google maps I can confirm two places I have overlooked by just using Google alone. Yes a bit unorthodox, however when it's too hot or too wet to get out you can take to the skies from the comfort of your living room and take a look around your area. What a time to be alive.

I just bought a drone and I’m looking for new spots around my area. It definitely gives you a new perspective being airborne. I flew over a pasture and could see a rectangular outline of what looks like a building that used to be there. Hiding in plain site right along the road. I would never have guessed anything would have been there.
