Most of you all know the Hell I have been through the past 1 1/2 years. While any divorce is sad, this is a great day of celebration for both my ex-wfe and I. Hopefully now, we both can go on with our lifes............and finally find happiness.

As such, I am still planning on coming to the hunt....provided by then I haven't found employment that precludes it. BTW.............I DID GET TO KEEP MY METAL DETECTORS!!!!!! YIPPPEEEEEEEEE.

Marc, I have moved from Manassas, VA to Kerrville, TX........a bird told me you might be located somewhere around the area. If so, would finally like to meet you.

God bless ALL....God bless America!!!

Judie,if we go by that list,we only need six cabins?? By the end of this month, gotta have the final yea/neh list.Neal's can't keep all the cabins open for us just on a guess of how many we'll need. They will keep a couple extra for awhile.Reservations don't have to be made but I do need to tell her how many to save and she will do that.

The poll above states 11 people for cabins...my listing are the ones who actually notified me of choice...so confirmed is 5 cabins.

If you want to share a cabin with another individual, please let me know. No matter what you're staying in, I need to know to add your name to the list. If I don't hear anything by the end of this week, I will be notifying you by PM.

I cannot remove another individual's name from the poll or linked events...if that individual's name is there and not attending, you will have to remove your own name.

 RR

GREETINGS!

WSD said that he needed to hear from some of us that are fence sitting. Well, I am still on the fence. I would love to spend some more time with the t-netters I met in Caldwell and meet any new ones.

I am just having a hard time deciding about 14 hours of windshield time each way. Hopefully I will either get off of the fence or fall off soon.

It has probably been written in this thread already, but, is the camping close to the cabins? If I manage to make the trip, I would have to be smack in the middle of the get together. It just seems more fun that way.

Bob

It appears that the camping will be within hollerin' distance of the cabin.Come on Bob,you are about the same distance as me and I did it ok and you are a lot younger.Just straight down 71 to Joplin, hang a right to Big Cabin,OK,hang a left 69 runs into 75 which will run into I-35 south side of Dallas,on down to 410 at San Antonio, take a right on 410 and then a right on 90 and you're practically there in just another 80mi.(or you can go from KC on 35 all the way.Just depends on whether you like interstate driving more than sight-seeing.About the same time frame.

I need people to take the sight seeing road instead of interstate....so that way I will have more pics to stealto use for your guys next hunt.

Last week my hiney got tired of sitting on that fence, so I threw the saddle over the rail so's it would be more comfy and I could sit there a little longer. :tongue3: ;D

LOL!

still there just trying to work it all in.. One weekend at a time

Darn, wish we could make this one, but Dan's "downtime" for 5 wks in the hospital ate up all my vac and sick time for the next year. Sure had a good time visiting with WSD last weekend, though, but he needs to understand that us ladies like BLUEBERRY, BLACKBERRY AND CHERRY cobblers so we set better with our menfolks! ::) Forget what we order! Just bring the MAN STUFF in!! :headbang: :notworthy: :hello2:

By the way, WSD looks great, but he traded in his RED car for a BLUE car and says he saves $$ on insurance. Believe him????

Sure do wish we could make Uvalde this year, but fate is against us. Am enjoying all the banter back and forth, but looks like several are dropping out! ??? Dan and I will keep rootin' for ya and watching the hunt materialize! - Noodle

FENCE SITTER HERE!

Still trying to decide and which way to go, tent or cabin. A tent is $20.00 a night, and cabins about $70.00. But if I find a roomie, it takes it to $35.00 a night out of my pocket. Just a thought.

I also looked through all of the features of Neals Lodges, and the history. Do you suppose there is any chance of hunting the water at Neals? They claim to have the best swimmin' hole in Texas. It is clear with a rock bottom. The place has been in business since the late 1920's I think. There has to be some goodies in the swimming hole. Of course we would be doing a great public service removing all of the little debris that is there too. Pull tabs, nails, fishing gear of one sort or another. It also mentions float trips on inner tubes. With a little leg work, I am sure we could figure out which parts of the river are more helpfull to people loosing things. Just another possible place to hunt.
