Steve,you traveling alone?Give yourself plenty of time.I want to go through Dallas about midnight wednesday.Not knowing what I'll run into with Dixie,I'll probably leave home about noon wednesday.Dallas is only about 81/2hrs normally.I had Lance to handle Dixie going/coming from CTH3 and that was only 300mi,this trip is a 1000mi.

Bill,when are you arriving?Maybe in time to give TC some competition?

After I get unloaded thursday,I have to run into Uvalde to see some people,so probably won't see anyone until that evening and friday I have to do some more running but will be back for our get together friday evening,maybe sooner.

I don't have a cell signal here at the house,but on the road it is, see PMs for # if I remember to turn it on.Don't leave a voice msg as I don't know how to get it.You just have to put up with this old man.
The only thing I have packed so far are two ashtrays!

What time is the meeting again on Friday? We are leaving in the morning....should make it in plenty of time to get everything tucked in at the cabin before hand.

I did tell everyone I was eating chicken fried steak @ Neal's 1st, then the meeting.

I'll probably be leaving about 3 am on Friday morning. That should get me there in plenty of time to get settled in and eat with Judy and her husband!! mmmmmm! I think I will leave "Bullet" here for this trip cause it would be his first trip out and I don't want any surprises. He just wants to play chase with the other dogs and sometimes they just want to rest. Maybe he'll be ready for Kansas next year........I know I'm ready for Uvalde now!!!

All those cell phone #'s I had for the trip to Kansas the year we rode the motorcycle, none of them worked. As soon as we got settled in at the Ark City motel or whatever the name of the town was, I tried calling Evy, then Donna, then Stan, even Ros, no answers anywhere, I looked at the time and figured we better hit the road again. The coverage in Caldwell was zero, was trying to let the folks know we made it, would be in Caldwell shortly & save us a bite to eat. Got down to Caldwell to the fair building, they had already eaten nothing left but a few baked beans. Thank goodness when we got back to the room, we were able to order a pizza to be delivered.

Donna, I can't believe you and Charlie aren't coming! You were finally gonna get in some scrub brush and everything!!! It won't be the same without you because for months you were coming and now THIS!!! We may have two 6 packs this year if everybody doesn't cancel at the last minute..... I should arrive mid to late afternoon on Friday. Will be in the van, as I haven't finished the camper.

TC if you get in the water before I get there, your machine is gonna leak, so you might as well wait till Friday afternoon.

I'm tryiing to decide if I should bring waders due to water temps, or if I can just wear trunks and a shirt top with tennis shoes. Got a hunch I'd be warmer in waders. I'll probably stop somewhere and check the local wally world for waders to bring.

I will have more than one water machine if someone else wants to dunk.

WSD are we gonna be caving at that big ranch you mentioned a while back? Should I bring a two box adapter for that area?

Gotta cross half of Arizona and all of New Mexico before I even get to Texas so it'll be a while, and I enter Texas at the western most point, just north of El Paso. At that point, I've only got 700 miles or so to go....... 500 by most direct route, but I'm doing a couple other things.
