V3i analyze trigger

My trigger to analyze on my V3i seems to not work all the time, sometimes I get no sound and sometimes it doesn't do anything so I have to let off and repull the trigger to get it to work. Any suggestions?

Are you starting off to the side of the target then bringing it back over, if you start right on top of the target it will do that sometimes. HH
