due to the amount of rain that fell the past two days I figure, and I was correct, that my house site would be too muddy to dig in somdecided to detect instead. Found a few relics like an old electric plug, part to a lantern, shotgun shell (UMC Co), a clay marble and I think a buckle and 4 memorials. Went back up to the button bush and pulled another tombac out. Tiny like a cuff button.
My son decided to sift through the mud anyway and came up with what I think is a stirrup. Is that what it is? It has "41" stamped on it. Not sure what that means. No other markings on it. The other item he found was a metal "4". Possibly a house number?
anyway please verify if it is a stirrup or not. Hope you all got out today and hunted your coils off!
