can you give us more info on what you think you have?
two holes in 2 different rocks?
size and depth?

The one looks kind of like what Indians used to grind acorns and corn...they find an indentation then work it nice and round,,then put acorns in and use a pedestal to grind the stuff, the hole keeps everything localized.
