So I went to dump 1K in halves at TD today and just as I was about to start pouring a guy walked up behind me with what turned out to be about $15 worth of coins in a very small bag, I let him go ahead of me knowing that I'd be there for about 15-20 minutes.
Well I was rewarded in an awesome way. I filled up the half bag in no time, the teller opens the door to change the bag and I can see a bunch of coins stuck in the reject tube. As they start changing the bag I ask if it's ok if I get 'my' rejects out of the tube. I started to get them and they just kept coming! It was very very backed up, to the tune of an extra $37.36.
quarters - 92
dimes - 44
nickels - 51
pennies - 100
dollar coins - 2
I'm not sure what the others were because the teller just started throwing some of them into the machine...
When the dust settled I walked away with over $37, 2 more silver quarters and 1 more silver dime! I'd say June is off to a good start!
