Video: 15-Year-Old Girl Defends Second Amendment

You've lost me here? I'am new down here and admit i don't know where the edges are. That said, yesterday a member hurled insults at me for me doing no more than my pointing out that he had missed the point of my post. To be clear, i didn't expect the guy to get banned or admonished, nor would i want that. Let's take the gloves off! But, applying the standard above, Stock insulted another member and got a time out, where is the line for such offenses?

Don't tell someone when to use good vs well. That's was the line I crossed.

Yet, I've been called every name under the sun and those people just keep on posting. It is what it is. Frankly I find the name calling to be pretty humorous. Takes me back to grade school or maybe preschool.

After watching the video I have these comments:

I agree with the message

Brave young lady.

Some of the facts quoted are fuzzy.

Some of the logic used, equally fuzzy.

The Maryland Minuteman need to rethink using children to deliver thier message.

Why would they want to do that :icon_scratch: After all, children are nothing more than sheep :laughing7:

That and adults would be fearful to remark on their speech, fearing it would scar them for the rest of their lives :tongue3:

I do not see any post reports on it, just looked....

If in doubt then members can read our rules, link posted in my signature, any member who has already received a time out for violating rules gets less leeway on the next offense.

Yep, agree, from about the time they are 2 1/2 we start unloading our BS baggage on our children. or, i should say, at about 30 months old is when it starts to sink in and have effect.

And, agree, no one is going to challenge a child who takes the floor to give a speech. Exactly why she was used.

The message is a good message. Don't take our guns. Her best point, that hand guns do most of the killing. Well made! No need to enact laws that will accomplish nothing. Agree!!!

Using a child to deliver that message - shameful! A cheap trick that undermines the message.

So to be clear on this, we can take the gloves off, as long as we don't get too carried away, and as long as no one runs crying to daddy (reports the post) it's OK?

Can't say anything negative about guns rights. And no criticisms of the NRA.

okay picker....I'm going to give this a shot. You said: "So let's abolish all laws - right?" This is how I feel about messing with my rights. I'll try to be as simple as possible here. Say they take your driver's license away from you because some people will just not obey the traffic laws. To stop those people from breaking the traffic laws they decide that, if we take away EVERYONE'S driver's license, the problem will be solved. I believe then, you would argue that they should punish the offenders and not you, am I right on that point? If not, then you are more submissive than I thought. Your responses to some things that are said here are just so overboard they make no sense. As for "using" a 14-year old to promote guns isn't any worse (if it is in fact bad) than Obama using all of those LITTLE kids when he gave his anti gun speech. Remember, the taxpayers had to pay for their and their families trip there, I bet the 14 year old wasn't flown there, fed and housed by the taxpayer. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Take any gloves off you wish with the understanding if it violates the rules and is reported by any member or read by any mod or admin it could be subject to anything from temp to full ban.

Just like umpires in baseball calling balls and strikes, what member calls a " ball", a mod may call a "strike or strike three".

It is not wise to poke a stick at mods or admins.....

As per our rules any post or any thread can be deleted or locked at any time for any reason. Posts with in rules but off topic of original post can easily be deleted as well, quoting a post that violates rules makes that post subject to being deleted along with the original offending post.

Lol that 15 year old has more guts then most men I know for standing up there and delivering that speech. And I don't think she was forced to give that speech. sounds like a well educated woman who is standing up for her rights and her hobby.

Thank you, got it!

One question about poking a mod with a stick thing - if a mod enters a debate on the open board can we respond to their comments as we would any other member? That is, if we agree can we say we agree? if we disagree, can we say we disagree? Or, would that be considered poking a stick at the mod?

She did good, I agree. Did her parents "OK" www. exposure...?

I doubt she was forced. Kids that age are very passionate about what they believe in. One thing i will take issue with you on is you calling her a woman. Make that mistake in another context and you could be in serious trouble! :laughing7:

NOTHING wrong with her "testifying". PROBLEM is with www. exposure; did parents "ok" it.

THOSE kids PROBABLY had parents "ok" for THAT event; unsure of CURRENT www. "exposure". Faces NOT "masked". ("Post" # 55).
