Video: 15-Year-Old Girl Defends Second Amendment

I'm tired of this silliness Reb. So I'm going to give you a little "heads up" on "rights" to images and video:

If you are in a public place, you have no reasonable expectation of privacy. So long as the individual who posts this image does not try to profit from it (i.e. try to sell it) he can do as he well pleases.

In the world of photography for fun and profit, you violate someone's "right of privacy" only when that person has a "reasonable expectation of privacy." If they are in their home, they have a reasonable expectation of privacy. If they are in their neighbor's back yard, they again have a reasonable expectation of privacy. If you are walking on Coney Island with your mistress, however, you do not have a reasonable expectation of privacy. That is why Disney can charge for the photos on their wild mountain ride. No one in that car had a reasonable expectation of privacy. Otherwise, there would not be so many bare breasts in the photos and every time they sold one, everyone else in the car would sue them.

Whenever you appear in a public forum (read governmental arena for public discussion for clarity), you have no reasonable expectation of privacy. There are cameras from both the governmental body as well as local media present. You can also expect, in our current society, that there will be other persons there with either video cameras or cell phones capable of taking video.

This video, based on the clarity, composition and viewing angle is probably video shot by a local news outlet from the area where the officials were seated. The parents can't stop it from being shown if they allowed her to speak. Likewise, since it is in a public forum, the only one who could sue for violation of their rights is the company who owns the equipment and shot the video. They can only do so if the poster violated fair usage by charging to view the video or by claiming that it was theirs instead of the property of the person/media outlet who shot it.

So, now you can rest at night knowing that no constitutional rights of this individual were violated, no laws have been broken, and your silly argument has been laid to rest.

"Heads Up" NOT relevant; when a "Minor" (at 15) is speaking PUBLICLY, it is OK... HOWEVER! To have "exposure" as a 15 year old (VERY smart kid, BTW) on www. on TN... I can "see" LEGAL FALL-OUT from that! Parents ARE responsible for her; Did THEY "ok" EXPOSURE...? She is a "MINOR"! "Silly argument"...? A "Put Down"?

Perhaps there is hope for the upcoming generation. This young lady is a true PATRIOT! Where are our fellow Patriots? Would they have the courage to stand up, too, or let a 15 yr. old GIRL expose their yellow streak down their backside? We can scream and yell till we lose our voices, yet we don't see our support. Why are they hiding and remaining silent? WHERE ARE THE REST OF THE PATRIOTS? This issue should have been tromped down by the citizens before it EVER got this far! Where is the uproar? ALL opposition officials should be trembling in their shoes for fear of being prosecuted for treason & betraying the oath they took to uphold our constitution. THEY LIED!
Even this young 15 yr. old girl understands what is at stake here... OUR FREEDOM AND CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS as AMERICANS. God Bless Her!

Amen and amen and amen. Why NOT use our children as the voices of reason because its clear all of the adults have lost their voices or have their big heads so far up the current administrations asses( is it ok to say asses?) that they can't see straight. This posts reminded me all of a sudden of an all girls camp I went to in the early 1970's. We had riflery as one of our activities and I loved it! In thinking back 30 or so years from that time do I or my parents think the counselors were trying to raise up a crop of little militants? Noooo, riflery was and still is a sport and in this case something healthy and positive for this young lady but as usual the left abhors common sense and twists everything around to suit their agenda.

I am sure her parents knew when she was being video tape at the hearing that it then becomes public property.....

No, fact. I have no reason to be putting you down, but I did want you to understand that it is legal when there is no reasonable expectation of privacy --- and yes, it applies to everyone from birth to death and after.

I guess so :dontknow: but don't know why any self respecting donkey would allow someone to put their head there???

The word "USE" is KEY, here...

Time to put up or shut up. Chapter and verse please . . . Would appreciate an apology when you find out you're wrong.

Rebel just how old are you???

Public is public, if your filmed speaking on a public forum your subject to be released on the world wide web, if you wish not to be then don't speak at a public forum.

NO apology forth-coming... you have a child, who is NOT 18...? It's a RESPONSIBLE "parent thing"!

Rebel, I have been nice. I also have a 16 year old daughter.

Now, you want to whine - show where it is illegal. If you can't, then apologize like an adult.

C'mon you're a man. That mean's you're big boy now. You can do it.

Did, the law is only about irresponsible parenting that results in PHYSICAL INJURY to the child.

The point of the video was a bit of levity . . . "PROVE IT!" . . . which I find quite funny.

Oh my bad,I used the word use.Nobody USED this girl, she is not a puppet but a clear thinking level headed individual who is tired of the wrong people being blamed for the actions of crazy people who shouldn't have access to guns .
