VIDEO - Preventing Rock Falls in Underground Mines

On many ocassions Ive looked at a piece of rock in the roof or walls and thought it looked a bit suspect, then with only a slight tap of the scaling bar down it would come with a bloody great thump on the floor.
I worked on the cross city tunnel in Sydney for a while as a electrician, EVERY morning at the safety meeting it was emphasised to the tunnelers to check the roof and scale down, still one miner was killed by falling rock.

Bump!

This is a very good vid that every prospector should watch because there is a danger of collapse while prospecting banks, slag heaps, tailing piles and other areas that prospectors work.
You dont have to be underground to be killed in a mining accident.

this topic should be pinned so it doesnt get lost.
