If you need parts, look up Doug Penn. He used to race old Eltos and Evinrudes. Hes got a large website with lots of parts if yours need any fixing. I'd take the time to get it running and sell it in "as is" condition. Let th buyer restore it.

$3?! There is probably $3 just in scrap there, I think I would have been a high-roller and handed him a $5. :laughing7:

or ok i will take it,thanks you got change for a hungie?

So far I have three offers for it as is for $150.00 Meeting the first caller tomorrow morning at a local marina so he can check it out.

I'd try and sell for no less than $203, but thats just me.

If I got that for three bucks, I'd have me a new cool looking mail box out on the street.

That would be sacrilege!
Not in my mind. All the smiles that it would bring to those who drove by my house. Some I'm sure would say. "Look at what that dummy did"

Agreed! The motor turned over and it was in good condition for having sat in a barn for a decade or two. Between the overzealous snowplows and drunks I've had to replace my mailbox so many times that I wouldn't even consider making a fancy mailbox.

Nursing a semi right now. I LOVE this type of thing. I usually clean the points, new plug, clean carb and tank, fresh fuel ....and away you go (in most cases). Two stroke fuel can stink after a while (so can normal petrol) I believe theres a bacteria that grows in it. I guess yours would require a higher oil content 25:1 or 20:1 maybe. Good luck. Thanks for sharing.
