Vintage Toothpaste Tubes Found

[Pauln]

I found these metal detecting and was about to get rid of them but my friend said I should save them. I listened to him and I'm glad I did. I came home and looked it up. Very cool history behind it…

Cool post but I can't get past 40 sec's then "error occurred..."

Maybe something to do with the other problems the site is having with loading pics?

Yes, interesting history.
Did you read that Colgate Ribbon Dental Cream was the first toothpaste in a collapsible tube, introduced in 1896.
It had previously been sold in glass jars since 1873.
Great find,
Don.....

Certainly a different kind of find, congrats! Wonder what used to be in the park before it was a park? Could be some really cool stuff there! HH!

Ahh yes Colgate...my alma matter. Have gotten my share of toothpaste jokes because of it.

And my alma mater was Miami U.
I can't count the number of beers I have won over the years by proving Miami U is not in Miami--nor even in Florida !!
Happy New Year,
Don.....
