wait!!!!!!!! oh no, another bug, the camel spider, ooooooooooo

i wanna say maybe jeff would want to start a bug or odd forum, eh? since this week has been about bugs, i was at a friends the other night while we were playing games this sucker come haulin butt from under the couch. these are harmless but how they look and how fast they run, all us guys were jumping like women,even with beer and poor little guy suddenly got kinda paralized, by a fishing pole rod . i have always know what these are, and saw one in that bug link the other day, its a sun spider, or wind scorpion, also it didnt mention camel spider. yes thats what it is. i guess in iraq, they "grow" much bigger. i have only seen these in the desert southwest, in AZ i did see one about 3 1/2 inches long once. if anyone wants one, ill catch it and send it to you priority

i use a casio ex-z1000, i like them because the preset shutter speeds, has a bunch of them, casio came out with a new 10 meg camera but i dont like the feel or weight, feels flimsy. you can pick one up pretty cheap since they are last years models, go to a radioshack and ask to look at a casio, have them show you the best shot feature. only downfall is the optical zoom is always around 3

I spent some time in Libya while in the service. We were on a bombing range 80 miles inland in the desert. We had plenty of camel spiders to go around. They were just a little smaller than our tarantulas, but more aggressive. Luckily the sand vipers and sidewinder vipers ate most of them! Monty

I live in Southern CA If I ever ran into a Camel Spider my heart would give up the battle.

I took the spider to the county bug guy and he wanted it for his collection. He said it was a scorpion spider, and that they weren't that common in Ca.
When you got close to the spider he would left his front two legs in the air, thats why they called it a Scorpion Spider. It looked just like the one in the picture. Really had a bad attitude.
