I've tried, but the manager at my local Walmart bank one is a collector too and so although I can get as much clad as I want, the silver is all gone.

It goes to explain how walmart exploits children and villages overseas to sell their fruits at low costs.

How it pays the employees very little, and expects them to work off the clock or be fired.

How the employees being in the poverty level, they NEED to get on govt assistance to help get a decent paycheck, which in turn puts the burden on every single tax payer, We are paying the welfare for these poor walmart employees. That is a reason why the costs are so low, cause we are all paying the cost through our taxes...

And not to mention the obvious abuse of chinese workers(read slaves) to ship their goods and infest our country with their poisonous materials and stink bugs, and who knows what else...

It really is bringing down our country... but hey as long as you get that chinese made, american cheese for 2 cents cheaper... power to ya

I was slightly joking about the cheese(only some of the chemicals are imported from china, not totally made in china)... but its not a joke to sell american flags that are made in china, and just about everything else in any walmart

That's why I'm glad to have a union job. Affords my family and I a decent standard of living, without having to work multiple jobs, and I get time off to roll hunt.

Not exactly a CRH topic but I like the story on how Wal Mart brings in so much tax revenue, Which on the face is true but at the cost to near by communities. Clearly Walmart devistates the local stores in small towns. I have seen it all over Texas. Maybe not right in front of the store, some fast food places will open picking up business from people going to the Walmart but drive 5 miles down the road, and you find closed stores of all kinds.

So town A gains at the expense of town B and from town C. They then get Walmart, if Walmart likes the demographics of the area because they say we are losing sales tax. So then town D,E,F and G lose out to towns B and C. However now that B and C have Walmart town A's total sales tax revenue drops back because B and C residents do not have to travel to town A.

Who makes out Walmart the little towns break even at best in the end and the small grocery stores or what have originally in the towns, they are destroyed.

Starting rate for what job joe? A female manager, AKA boss? $17 an hour is a complete lie. "too lazy", there are plenty of hard working American people out there to joe, almost insulting. Its just that walmart would rather higher a lazy person who will work for $7.25 an hour than $17 for a hard working person.

$17 is the lowest entry level starting wage paid at this WalMart. We happen to be living in a boomtown in the ND oilfields. They have to restock daily as the shelves empty out every day. Typical check out time is an hour or more with 20 or more registers open. Night shift starts at $19.50 an hour. Unreal I tell ya.

My issue is not with there hourly wage anyway !
It's with there general business practice . Low,prices are great as long as we're not destroying suppliers and American jobs along the way ..

LAWL at some of the comments!! Stop blaming corporations and big business for erasing non competitive businesses (ma and pa stores), its evolution. Birds eat bugs, snakes eat mice, etc.... It's just the way of the world. Also what some call "exploiting" the workforce in other countries to benefit an American company, i would encourage you to travel to those countries and ask them how they like their job and if they feel they are exploited. It's funny that a lot of people that make nice money or dare I say overpaid for their education/skill level seem to generally think it is not enough and they are being exploited, yet the educated ones that are being underpaid just look at it as unfortunate and just continue to strive to find that opportunity. Either way i commend them for their hard work and stepping up to life as a responsible adult and not just figuring out that popping out 3 kids is enough to get the government to set you up for life and never have to work another day.

Back on topic, this thread's title is a misnomer because the banks that are in Walmart stores have nothing to do with the Walmart corporation. Each bank that has a branch in one of those stores is independent of the store, and is different in each state or region. From what I've seen they are usually a branch of a small regional bank.

I don't shop at Walmart anymore except in a rare occasion. But the other day I went into a Walmart looking for a bank and saw a sign that the branch was extending their hours to close at 7pm. That could be a viable option for someone needing a CRH transaction in the evening. Being a small branch they are probably limited on coin amounts.

Palidin20603, when I was on vacation in Miami in Nov. I did stop in a bank in a Wally World to check on halves. The teller smiled and said that people stopped in all the time asking for halves. My guess is that those small branches get more traffic than many stand-alone banks, so teller tray finds might be difficult but as always if you're in the right place at the right time.....

I'm going to look into an account at my local one because I love the idea of them being open through 7pm. Thanks for reminding me of them.

To answer his question, I stopped into one yesterday, after reading your question, and found 18 CWR that they were all to happy to get rid of. 6 40%ers and 1 90%er. I will start checking all of the ones in my travels. But the way this thread was hi-jacked and the topics it covered, I am completely surprised that a Mod hasn't shut this thread down.
