Picked this up on Tuesday. I’ve never owned a pocket watch before so I know less than zero about it. I’d love to post what I see and hopefully someone can provide additional insight into the watch, value, etc.

The watch face says “Waltham”. The inside of the case says “Dueber Special”. Also says “Warranted Dueber 25 years” which I believe means it’s gold filled. Case also has 7865386 on it. The movement says “A.W.W.CO. Waltham Mass.” with movement serial # 18605258.

A quick online search says it’s grade 161, model 1907 with likely production in 1912.

The watch appears to work and keep time just fine.

I appreciate you guys looking. Any additional information is appreciated.

What a beautiful piece of time engineering... :occasion14:

Whatever you do DON'T ALLOW ANYONE that handles this watch wind it up ! It seemps most people want to wind these whenever they pick one up (envariabley) I KNOW ! I had a small beautifull womans pocket watch and people that picked it up tried winding it and eventually broke the main spring ! NOW it is unrepairable !My big loss ! THINK ABOUT IT BEFORE YOU HAND IT OVER TO SOMEONE !
