I buy anything that is Silver...current payout on marked Sterling items: Spot price of Silver (4-27 $24.04) times .925 (decimal purity of Sterling) times .88 (payout %)...$19.56 per troy ounce. Bigger items such as flatware have the best assay and weight after melt...the output from a bunch of small items (eg rings with stones, earrings, any thing with fine detail) can be under assay and have weight loss. Email me if you have any questions at hgboyd@hotmail.com I can answer most questions about content via email...I'm not afraid of unmarked items, lower purities etc because I assay after melt and payout accordingly. Higher prices paid on some Mens and Ladies neck and wrist chains, especially if they have heavy links, Mexican and S American pieces if the workmanship is there, higher purity (eg .935 and .950) items. The situation with flatware for resale is troubling...only pre civil war items have value over melt, and I deal basically in bullion. Flasks and cigarette cases, medals and decorations will be considered. Possible trade for 1 oz pure silver rounds at spot plus $.75 if I have any. Thanks in advance, Herb Boyd.
