War Nickels, V Nickels, and WL Halves, are my favorites (: I have 3 solid rolls of war nickels, and about half a tube of war nickels. Someday ill sort them into year and mintmark. All 42's I put in 2x2s since i've noticed when I have sold sometiems they reach a slight premium.

Really, it is illegal to melt them. Hope you do not get caught.

"The prohibition contained in § 82.1 against the exportation, melting, or treatment of 5-cent coins shall not apply to 5-cent coins inscribed with the years 1942, 1943, 1944, or 1945 that are composed of an alloy comprising copper, silver and manganese."
