Hey guys,

Been MIA for a few months with transitioning out of active duty and starting my airline gig. The year started out with a bang with a pair of rev war pewters from the SC 3rd as well as the King's 3rd American so that held me over, but just couldn't take the detecting hiatus any longer. Despite temps in the high 90s, I hit the water to return to some promising sites that had produced in the past. Given my absence, I was hoping new erosion over the last couple months might uncover a button or bullet. Needless to say I wasn't expecting 6 marked military pewters, and an ultra rare 1st Regiment of Infantry cuff. Here is the just dug picture of the pewters, nothing in situation as I was running from a thunderstorm :laughing7:

Bit of cleaning and a nice wax coat on the set

Here's the prize, a 1808-1811 1st Regiment of Infantry cuff. I dug its bigger brother at the same site back in 2015!

Also scored the US coat and cuff - the cuff looks like it was cast and dropped yesterday

Flat buttons, while this site is heaven for pewter, it eats brass alive

This was another killer finds, 1812 era partial sword guard

This little thing has me puzzled, anyone got any ideas?

That about covers the spread, another busy few months of training so I'll be living vicariously through you guys and your relic saves. Thanks for looking and have a great 4th!

Insane post! Thanks so much for sharing

Great work Digger and what a haul!

I think the mystery object is a mixture screw from a carburetor.

Great 4th and many happy returns!

I'm thinking the same thing...a little cleaning will tell. The spring in the center will move. The needle part of the valve is bent.
