The scammers are out everywhere these days. I usually get the calls from the ones claiming to be Social Security.

From my filter list, the 416 blocked the whole area code, other numbers could possibly be collection or an X.

My wife gets those calls at least 20 times a day, sometimes another comes in as soon as she hangs up, from a different number and a different voice. This has been going on for over two years now. You can't block the number, because the call comes from a different number every time - even MY OWN phone number. Anymore we simply "Reject" any call that comes up as "Unknown", "Tool Free", or any 800 or 888 area code on the Caller ID.

The phone company is working on trying to reduce these calls but sometimes I wonder .try to get on the Government no call list.
When we have the tv on and see a number that we don’t know we just ignore it
But on the other hand they always try to trick you to click on messages on your cell phone..Thank You for the heads up

I have gotten a few calls lately claiming there from Medicare. They wanted me to VERify what card and number i was using. DO NOT TAKE A CALL and GIVE out your MEDICARE OR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS to ANYONE . THEY WILL NOT CALL YOU TO VERIFY !!!

This started happening to me as-well recently.

So we got a call from a doctors office. The receptionist was really Pissed Off at us because they kept getting scam calls from our landline phone number. She said why don’t you contact your phone company and perhaps they could do something about this. So we contacted Verizon about scammers showing our phone number when they make their robo calls. Verizon agent “There’s nothing we can do about it, it’s all computer generated” Then he proceeded to try to sell us additional Verizon services and products. The Feds do not call list and NOMOROBO are all BOGUS!!!!!!
