Just had a monster rain, rivers and creeks are raging... anyone know if this is a good thing for hunting placer gold or minerals. *western nc

Absolutely a good thing. Some old areas will be replenished and flood gold redistributed throughout. I got a couple 'catch all' bedrock cracks I cant wait to go check once all this recedes.
