Found in colonial era farm field along with some musket balls and a KG2

Possibly a broach, but my guess is it's a buckle of some type.

Depending on the size, it's a mid to late 18th century shoe or knee buckle. Probably a shoe buckle. Very nice find. They are hard to get whole like yours.
