We found these 2 finds in roman city. They are bronze, not sure what it is, it may be hair clip?

Welcome to TNET. Unfortunately I am unable to help you with your finds but can pass on a warning. I would be very careful where I detected in Italy. From what I have heard from a friend living there that it is very illegal to detect anywhere outside a beach area - and even then it is selective to which beach is allowed. Penalties include definite loss of detector, a fine, and possible jail time. The Italians are serious about the government owning any lost treasures or artifact. Good luck with your hunts. Walt

The first photo, in upper left corner, has a piece with a round hole through it. I don’t ever see this piece in its entirety. Looks to be the same material. Is there a reason for omitting it? Did you weigh them? They appear quite heavy for hair clips.
