I'm live in Helena and am looking for some people to detect with. It's almost getting warm enough to break out the detector.

Me and a buddy got out yesterday on the shore of Flathead Lake. I'll try to get pictures up tomorrow, my son is coming over to show me how. The south and east facing shores are not froze at all.

Every time I think the weather is going to thaw the ground out a little we get another cold snap. Been eyeing some new spots but when my days off roll around we get another 6 inches of snow. Grrrrrrr or I mean Brrrrrrrrrrrr

As cold as it is right now -14, I think it will take a while for us to thaw out! I tried detecting about two weeks ago when the temperature was around 45 but the ground was still frozen solid. I'm starting to go stir crazy! :laughing1:

I'm in Great Falls too. Every time I think we're finally going to thaw out we get snow. I've stopped hoping now so I don't jinx the weather anymore.

Got up to 48 today in Helena. But I still think it's gonna be a few more weeks before the ground thaws out enough to dig.

It has been raining and in the 40s for the last three days over here. Got a big adventure out to one of the islands on Flathead for sunday as long as it is not raining to hard. Anyone over this way pm me and lets go.
