I got up the nerve to knock on a door to ask who owned adjacent vacant property and was given a name and number to call. I was generously given permission to keep anything I found (except for a 1943 copper penny if found....Did not..but did find a 1941!) I did find some old buckles from the 1800s, old nails, couple of newer. pocket knives, and......drumroll....a silver coin...1847 seated liberty dime in good shape! So thrilled.

Yes...seeking private property was a first and I was so happy with the generosity of the property owner whom I never met and just had a phone conversation with! I donated to the Heritage Association in his honor.

You were blessed by the Holy Mother Medallion!! Some are Silver-Some Not. It will say Sterling on it if it is. Great Finds!

Yes, truly blessed as this was the first item I found after I hung up the phone with permission. It is so worn, I don't think it is sterling, but I treasure it just the same.
