Loco Digger came down to Charlotte for the weekend. It was very hot and dry, but we made the best of it.

On Saturday we had a TNet members hunt. I secured us a couple of spots to hunt in a janky little hicktown up the road. I have seen prettier faces on iodine bottles, but here they are: KurtStuben, P@tch, Bladerunner2019, Loco Digger, Smittyman and Super Shaun. The finds were a bit sparce, but I believe that everyone had a good time.

On Sunday, Loco and I slipped out for a tour of the town, we hit several local spots, once again, the finds were slim, but the camaraderie was exceptional!

I was able to locate the following over the weekend:

1928 Buffalo
1896 IHC
Fake Cameo
Model A valve stem nut
3 Wheaties
Piece of a pocketknife

Loco Digger is a scholar and a gentleman, as are most TNetters that I have met. If he shows up in your town, take him for a hunt!

Thanks for looking and best of luck on your hunts!

Nice to put some faces to the names. Sure you had a great time. Hope to get together with some tnetters in the future.

Just curious. Who found the Indian?

Carolina Tom always has the best threads - he's a wordsmith of sorts! Great finds friend.

Who are the guys, from left to right? I think I'm picking them out correctly, but since only 2 of you are mildly good looking, I don't want to offend anyone by accidentally getting names wrong. :)

The names are listed in the same order as the boys in the picture...

Kurt is first on the left, Shaun is last on the right.

I found everything in the pics. I figured the other guys would post their stuff on their own threads.

You found all of the good stuff. Where is a pic of the silver coins and that sweet little pin?

We all appreciated the "tuition free" MDing lesson that you put on for us.

It's all in the wrist action. :laughing7:

Didn't get around to taking any pics yet, but the pin turned out to be for the "Medical Society of NC." They formed in the mid 1800's and have had yearly meetings since. (Except during the Civil War and 1 year during WW2.) The pin I found was from the 1909 meeting in Asheville. The things you learn metal detecting....

The cameo is pretty cool but as you said it's the camaraderie that makes the hunt special.

Good Lord!!! What a motley crew of treasure hunters! The good relics and silvers HAD to have been hiding from you guys! Ha! For real, I wish I could have been there, looks like a good time and fellowship... Nice.

Nice looking finds and a nasty looking bunch! Haha kidding, I bet you guys had a blast.

I got my wireless headset for my at pro ordered. Cause all that heat sat those headphones was killing my ears

Keep swinging my friends!

Sounds like it was a Great hunt and the finds were just a bonus!

Nice digs Tom, I know you were holding back so as to not out shine every one. :notworthy: The accommodations at the Carolina Tom Hilton were beyond reproach. :award_star_silver_1 I had a killer time hunting with you and the rest of the crew. Heck your such a pro you had the opportunity to nap and then dig an indian on Sunday. Hopefully I can get to my digs and post later this week. Us old timers sure hung tough, I think the youngest of us had a hard time keeping up. Memories are great treasure and I left Charlotte with a chest full. :headbang: If you ever want to come to the midwest or as we like to say "the North Coast", just give me about 30 days notice so I can secure some great permissions before you arrive. I have 2 spare rooms, you can book one anytime, and that goes for the rest of the Tnetters that I swung the coil with in the past. My Casa is Your Casa.

Thanks LD, you are always welcome at my place buddy. I appreciate you not taking a picture of me napping in the bushes on Sunday, it was hot and I was tired!

I'm glad to hear y'all had a good time! Congratz on the IHP!

Who said he didn't? We all got PMs. I dare say you shouldn't let him stack Cheerios on your face like that.

-Skippy

You can't send pics via PM... but that's a good one.
