IMG_3254.webp Can someone maybe guess what this is? Found at a late 1800s farm home site in southern Indiana. It is about 4 in. in diameter. The center looks like a civil war hat. It seems to be made of copper.

Really interesting cant wait to se what it is!!!!!

Welcome also!!!!!!

Its a victorian era fidget spinner.

Seriously though, its very interesting, sorry no clue what it is. I don't think the hat represents a civil war hat, it looks more like a child's cap.

What are the ends of wire-like armature things?

To me it looks like it is a saddle, the parts that are attached would be stirrups.

Can you take pictures of the small parts?

YES.
Its a Dressage Saddle, with stirrups that are all bent, and the riding helmet sitting backwards on top the saddle.
Nice Find..

I agree. Looks like an antique equestrian saddle with an equestrian cap on top. Possibly from a brass/copper miniature model that has been
flattened somehow. Possible English origin.

I thinking saddle. I'd definitely put it in my barn.
