Found this weird motor attached to what looks like a stand. I found this in a public park that used to be a racetrack, so I have absolutely no idea what it is. It had some identifying tags on it, but I still can’t make anything of it. Any help identifying this would be greatly appreciated.

Yep. Looks like that’s it. What exactly would these things be used for?

Some history:
Sta-Rite was founded in 1934 in Delavan, Wisconsin (USA) by William C Heath, then President of the A.O. Smith Corporation. From the beginning, Heath was driven to produce pumps “built right to stay right” – which, of course, led to the Sta-Rite name. Heath’s success with Jets & Centrifugals in the early years led the company to quickly expand into 4” submersible pumps & motors. In 2004, Sta-Rite was acquired by Pentair. Today, Pentair Sta-Rite sells a wide range of pumps, motors, tanks, controls, and accessories in over 100 countries around the world.
You may wish to contact the company today for information regarding your find.
