Weird US Navy (?) thing

[mack0238]

Out at another school house site late yesterday and dug up some goodies.

I'm not sure if the brooch is a medallion or what... the back is hollow and open.

Oh well... looks awesome though!

Thoughts?

With the seagulls and private sail boat, I would say it is a civilian brooch. Very nice! Sub

Those "sea gulls" look like stealth airplanes to me... in disguise of course. What better way sneak up on the enemy than with a battleship disguised as a dinky sailboat and your planes disguised at sea gulls... brilliance I tell you, brilliance...

I will show myself out now...

I'm buying the next round... so tell that cute bartender what you want, and tell her to put it on my tab.

Congrats on getting out and digging those targets. Is that a copper ring?

Yeah.... it's my second copper ring this Fall.

Since I enjoy school house sites, I think they are kids play-rings.

Kinda like a kick to the balls when you find one and it's not precious metal. lol.

NICE FINDS MACK .....

[Old Dude]

You never know what you'll find at those old school sites. The kids took lots of things for show and tell ( both school sanctioned and the private " let's make little Johnny jealous " ones! ) and obviously some of the things didn't make it back home. I am sure the nautical piece gave you some anxious moments 'till you got it cleaned enough to see what it was? Nice finds.
