Welcome me to the 1700's club!

So, I took a couple guys to my 1700's farm permission today. Was me, GI_jungle and a friend of his. You can see Gi's, SNY plate, on todays finds, It's AWESOME! All three of us dug many colonial relics(I don't have pics of mine as i gave most of them to the owner) but, I did find this awesome coin. 1788 vermont copper(ryder 20 I think) and I thought it was another LC at first but Jon quickly dismissed that and offered to buy it from me right then and there....lol. I didn't sell, btw. Two firsts here, 1st 1700 coin, first state copper. I'm very excited about this find! Also, I found a gun, not sure if it's real or a toy, what looks to be a colonial knife, a pair of scissors and a war nickle. As I said, there was a bunch more but I screwed the pooch and didn't get pics. If anyone can give me some insight on this coin, it would be greatly appreciated. Also, check out gi_jungle's SNY belt plate. It dates to the 1840's. Thanks for looking. I would also like to say that I have hit this yard many times last summer with my 250 but the ATPRO had it's maiden voyage there, today. It did me proud!

I hope some of your luck lays beneath my coils this year!!

Great find on the Vermont. From what I can tell, I agree, it's a Ryder 20. I've found CT's and NJ's including one of each last weekend, but never a VT. Nice going.

Congrats on joining the 1700s club. Strangely, my first state copper was a Vermont as well. I was just as surprised as you are when it came up. They don't show up nearly as often as the Connecticut or New Jersey coppers. Good PR with the land owner too.

I think you beat the odds on condition too, it's definitely better than half the coppers I find.

Congrats on making the 1700's club!!

I'm a member of the 1700's club but, still a non member of the Big silver club. Lol

Great find!, congrats on hitting the 1700s!
Don't get much better than that!

Nice one to gain admission with, and one I don't have. Congrats!

Nice find, like others have said, not many VT's found. I will third the attribution of a Ryder 20................. Here in South Jersey, I have found three and my son has found two, with three of the five coming from the same field. Ryder 1, Ryder 9, Ryder 16, Ryder 16 and a Ryder 21. Don
