Welcome to the site! Please post an introduction thread.

Hi. I have been reading this forum for a year or so. I started detectecting in the 80's with a whites 6000 d series2. i was out of it for a while, but never lost the itch. It is a bit difficult for me to get move about, I have a bone degenerate problem. I still have lots of time to research. lol It is great when I can get out. Thanks to everyone for your posts, it keeps the fire burning!

Greeting to All. I'm presently living in Dallas Texas and frequently visit family in South Carolina. Three of us have finally given in to the urge to hunt and have all purchased our detectors and are anxiously awaiting our first hunt this coming weekend. Joined your site for your expertise, rules, courtesy and thrill of the find. Hopefully soon, we will be able to share our finds too. Good luck to all.

Welcome to all who found this site, GL and HH, AC

Hello all! I’m new to the site but not THing. Been at it off and on for 43 years now and I’m still expanding my THing skills every time I go out. Or is it I’m just relearning what I forgot on the last hunt. Any way I’m really enjoying the site. By the way I’m located in Washington State on the Olympic Peninsula.

Hello. The treasures I seek are not with a metal detector, but in shops. However, I enjoy looking at the many treasures others have literally dug up!

Hey everyone. I'm David from Spring, TX. I am very new to hunting and am looking very forward to it. Just bought a Garrett 150 on Craigslist today and played around in the back yard as soon as I got home, found 2 quarters! LOL Not bad for my first time ever I guess. I am still researching places to go and rules to follow. Looking forward to chatting and learning on this site! Have a great day.

1 month later.. Upgraded to a Camo LS. Lovin this.. Much better than a bar.

Thanks, I'm new at this but very interested in learning about treasure hunting... Any tips are appreciated... I did notice a metal someone found earlier.. They were not sure if it was KGC or Masonic... It is a jewel for a Grand Inquisitor General... 33• degree.... looks like Southern Jurisdiction out of Charleston ... If you look at Albert Pikes photo's you will see he is wearing one very similar!!!
