Here is the place we have hunted the last couple weekends. I didn't do all that great here today, but my hunting partner got a 14K ring, a merc, a war nickel, and some wheaties. I will have to settle for the 64-D dime, Pendants, 2 wheaties, and about 30 clad coins.

Happy Hunting this weekend everyone!!!

Silver is always great. Thanks for the nice photos. Who gave permission to hunt the church grounds? The minister or the congregation? Just curious as to who is best to contact.

The Minister and the Head Office Person gave us permission. I have had good luck getting permission at old churches.

Very cool, thanks for the info. Do you use a probe in the lawn? Or do you cut flaps in the lawns? (Always like to learn from the successful. ;) )

Since you didn't get struck down by lightning. I guess God gave you permission as well.

Daryl

Nice finds ST! Congrat on the silver and the sweet religious medalians!
That's some nice looking grass there, I would be scared to detect there.

Smiles!

He, he, .Thats the 1st thing I thought of. I feel like I would have to dig the holes with a tea spoon with the pinky finger sticking out. Great Finds!!

Just cut some nice clean plugs is all. Just take your time and respect the property. So far we have pulled 7 silver dimes, 2 war nickels, about 5-6 pendants, a 14K ring, 30+ wheaties, and a handfull of clad. This property is covered, and I mean covered with these little buttons that sound off like silver coins. So far we have dug 100+ of these little buttons. It's been a good property, we will go back again soon!

Little buttons? May we see a picture of one of them up close, please? You got my curiosity piqued!! And thank you for the timely replies to our inquiries.

Here's the rest of the stuff Storm.........

Storm--
I do believe you're starting to make progress with the SE.. If the signals were there, I'd still be out there digging holes............

You know, we empty out our trash pouch into the dumpster before we leave the property...So I don't have any to show. They are not old by any means, they are cloth covered buttons. I think the private school next door to the church may wear uniforms, thats why there are so many of these buttons on the property, they are all the same.

All I know is they sound off/hit in the range of a silver dime....so we get lots of them. ::) ::) ;D ;D

Thanks for the other pictures Joel. This is my hunting buddy and his finds today from the same property! Nice digs Joel!!

Nice finds Storm..thought that school looked familiar. I think Steve and I went pass it a couple times but never stopped because of school hours. Nice to see some silver coins still popping up once in awhile. Good Job

Well, PM me sometime and lets get you out on the property digging some holes! We have to call in advance to get permission each time (just to make sure no events are going on), but you are more then welcome to join us for our next outing there. BTW, Where are you from?

Storm-- You're gona hafta stop posting pictures of our hunting sites.. ;)

Come on Joel, we need some other to help us clean the buttons out LOL

We stay out of places like churches ect that people post they hunt. We mainly hunt schools and parks on wed. and Sunday afternoons. Don't worry...we won't storm your site Storm.

BTW, Steve and I were out a couple weeks ago hunting Lynch Park. Guy comes up and ask if he can hunt around us. I said no we were here first.haha...what a look I got. I smiled and said I was just kidding we love to talk to other guys, join in.

About 10 minutes later while him and Steve were talking another guy comes up and start talking to them so I join them. We're talking about 10 minutes and we started getting clobbered by hail. We ran under a tree for cover and must have talked for 40 minutes. Had a better time talking detectors, places to hunt and finds then hunting.

It also looked the the meeting of the White's Club. 1- XL-Pro, 1-M6, and XLT and a Classic. Nice to know our fellow hobbyist are so nice and helpful.

Nice finds Storm, those old churches hold lots of treasure just waiting to be unearthed..there's bound to be more..good luck next time out!

Nat

Cool finds, congrats! Always love to find silver.

The gold ring is very nice. Love that "S" war nickel - looks like it's in great condition. You guys are cleaning up, keep at it!!
