I suppose, for the most part, it was a "normal" hunt too. If there is such an animal.
I knew it was going to be hot so I opted for a "go to" clad school for a couple hours. To relax. It was working. Then, I got this one hit that I called as "A penny hit for sure." I was right, it was a penny.
Just didn't expect it to be from 1835! LOL (That's a guess, I think I saw that under magnification. It is VERY roached!
Then, I got the button hit. It almost caused heart failure when I first looked in and saw what looked like a big gold coin! LOL
I'm guessing it's just a big coat button.
Lastly, I was digging up the big, iron, pointy thing and just about to start cussing. (I REALLY didn't feel like digging up a bug hunk of iron at this point but, I just had to know!
While I'm digging and getting more and more frustrated, up walks this kindly old gentlewoman. "Finding any treasures?"
This was the last thing I needed right then. LOL
I stopped and she told me she lived up on the hill there and saw me down here and was wondering if I'd be kind enough to help her find a key she lost yesterday. Up at her house, while planting roses. I said absolutely and finished up the iron thing and went off to help. Took just a few minutes to find.
She offered money for my time and I refused but she insisted on something, I settled for a bottle of pop!
While we were cooling off, she told me the house had been there for about 70 years, was a farm before, nobody ever hunted, and SURE I could hunt the yard anytime I wanted and welcome!
So, there ya have it, a "normal" clad hunt day.
Interesting relic, strange button, a large cent, a new friend, new "virgin" place to hunt, and what else? Oh yeah! Clad! LOL
How about that for just getting out for a couple hours. BOY! Karma sure works strange!
Now, what am I forgetting?
Oh yeah!
The pictures!! LOL
Here ya go:

Can barely see the flowing hair. I can read a full "LIBERTY" in the headband. Means it's good, right?
Thanks for peeking!
HH!
