Went to an old abandoned lot I have permission to go to yesterday. I have been there plenty of times and have gotten wheaties and one silver. this time I only found 3 things. I had considered it a wasted trip until I cleaned them up today. Just using water in my tumbler I found out the heart shaped , crusty iron pendant turned out to be a 1926 dog immunization tag, the cruddy disc that came in as a high tone was not a knock out electrical box plug like I thought but it was a consumer tax check token from Oklahoma, and lastly the coin that was all crummy looking and that I dug only because the trashy signal the 250 gave me was consistent, turned out to be a 1907 V nickel. Am I lucky or what??? Not a bad day after all!!! Here are the pics. I need to clean them up a bit more. HH

Not bad at all. I like those old tax tokens, you were lucky to find a brass one, the others were aluminum and always come out dissolved by the soil here.

Nice digs... Those old tax tokens are great pieces of history...

Gotta love those V's Congrats. Hoping to find a few myself tomorrow! :tongue3:

Three sow's ears become 3 silk purses. Well done on the finding and the cleaning. And on this one, cleaning was the more important.

Thats why i stick everything I dig in my pocket.....but after I clean mine, I end up with clean trash. :icon_scratch:
