Went back to the little cw camp I found on hill. They dropped a stunning coin

Found 2 Connecticut buttons so that's proof enough for me for who was there. And this stunning coin with I guess a clipped planchet. What y'all think? Any extra value?

If you blow the images up you can see where that area has been worn away more than the rest of the coin. Not sure what caused it, but it's old damage on an otherwise really nice coin.

I agree it looks very strange. I don't want to rule out mint error. But your right its questionable. But either way it makes a unique coin, and I'm very happy with it. Specially since it was a very hard one way hit that I thought was iron. But there was about 5 square nails in the hole with it
