So I couldn't go to sleep last night so I stayed up all night and went metal detecting at sunrise at the same spot I went to yesterday and found a v nickel. I use to be a high stakes gambler ( haven't drank or gambled in 14 years....long story) lol Which is why I love metal protecting so much, because it's the only thing that gives me the same high I get when I find something I love. So I have a great day yesterday and WIN, so of course I go back the next day and LOSE. Nothing but 4 Lincolns and 100 pieces of trash for 4 hours no sleep. I'm telling you it's the same thing as gambling at the casino! Goodnight. :laughing

Besides the purchase price of your detector and gas money, you really can't lose with metal detecting. Going out digging is like getting free lottery tickets to me. Time spent outdoors is not anything to get upset about, even if it turns into a pile of rusty pulltabs and some burned calories. Now that I live in an isolated place where I cannot do any detecting, I really appreciate the detecting opportunities I had years ago.

Yeah and I don't clean my coins in the field so when I get home I break out the toothpicks and it's like I'm playing the scratch offs. Lol

Been in a silver drought lately. Been there before and just kept plugging away till better luck came along. Need some new spots.

I wish I didn't have that mental block with door knocking. I'm a Lone Ranger detectorist but I am joining a local detecting club.

I've lost 25lbs over the years and I don't diet at all. Me and my wife is from New Orleans and boy can she cook.
