Here is one in Colorado.
They are all shapes and sizes,
This one is layered and at the tallest point is almost 6 feet.
it is a very short one, some we have seen are as tall as 12 or 15 feet.

The picture is from both sides.

Hey Old Dog, I have read about a person named Mandel Torres, who in 1940, discovered a covered mine shaft near the summet of Culebra Peak, and traveled through it about 300ft. A part of the story states in so many words the shaft may pre-date Spanish explorers, and work tools may have been found inside. Since this is your neighborhood, I thought you might be interested....HH

PLL, I believe I Have seen what I believe are Spanish Pointers in Calif.desert,at least 1 being close to Borax,Calif.
I dont have gps imformation on them,as you know the desert is a wiley place and landmarks have a tendency to appear and vanish..... HH

Thanks Ghostdog,

But that peak is on the other side of the State from us.
It is on private property and is pretty inaccessible as far as hunting goes.
It isn't that you can't hunt the place, but the current owners charge per visit.
$100.00 per visit per person per visit makes the place pretty off limits.
