What are these Rocks

My girl gave me these she found at her friends house in the yard then asked me what they were. Anybody know? Thanks! I am new to the treasure net so I don't know how to use everything on here.

Some better pictures as EU suggests would help, especially with the second one. The first picture is most likely a calcite crystal. Faceting and cleavage plains from the fractures in the stone are good indications. A hardness test would help confirm it ; if you do test it be gentle its a nice bit and calcites fracture easily. The second picture~ well you said they were found in the yard? are there other examples laying around?

I think the 2nd pic looks like something that came out of a fish tank.

When I was a kid (oh so long ago), my aquarium had stuff that looked like that.... coral perhaps.

Definitely need to know the results of a hardness test. Good pictures. The obverse views of the citrine looking stone have me scratching my head about my initial thought on calcite. As to the cluster it also looks like a calcite formation as well however both could be quartz. Hardness is the only denominator for me. Can they scratch a penny? Can they scratch a knife blade? If they scratch does it leave a powder? If you get a powder does it react with vinegar?

Well, I agree with DD on that the yellow one might be citrine. Hardness test, just as the rest suggested by DD would be helpful.

Well I scratched a penny and a mark was left then I scratched a knife and yet again a mark was left...I did not notice a powdery residue left be hind

With the cluster I thought I saw a stem in the first picture. I've seen coral with stems but also seen calcite in caves with a stems.
If it's calcite it's very unusual. Drusy quartz?

Thanks for the feed back on the hardness test. Calcite is ruled out as the hardness is greater than 5 to 6 having scratched a knife blade and no noticeable residue. Thats for the crystal in the second set of pictures. Citrine quartz. Is it me or am I seeing two different stones between the picture in post 1 and the second set of pictures?
