Well they do worked on the edges Im not doubting that. Maybe some kind of choppers? What state are you in?

No I'm in middle tennessee between two rivers

Yeah those are all good. Looks like Archaic period by the stems I see.
Here is a frame of some I have but are smaller than what you have. These are all scraper types. Not all artifacts were flaked on all sides some were only done on the edges.

I wasn't saying that lol I just find myself fascinated with these tools I find plus I know how much wood indians used it takes a big set of tools to work wood it's got me stumped

I was thinking that too only 3 or 4 with vertical knapping I have more small blades with flutes no points

All the ones in that frame I posted only have secondary flaking on them. None are worked on the sides just the edges and all were found in the same spot. There is one point base in the mix and it is archaic. I was going back to look again after a rain and I was told while I was almost there they were going to spray and I had to leave so I never made it back. Maybe next yr I will find some more.

Tell me about it. I had permission to hunt the fields and property so I had to do what was said. Im in a new section now and a new creek. Raining so much this yr you cant drive down the dirt roads cause they are all mud. Park and walk. I like both fields each one is almost identical by the artifacts I find.

Those look like some rocks you can find in central texas.
