I actually agree with fyr, my wife and I went 5 years ago; not impressed. We liked the smokey mountains but the gift shops were crap, we were solicited over and over abouttime shares. We decided to drive to the Cherokee reservation and that was better, but that wasn't as great as it was when I was young.[/QUOTE
The concept of time shares is amazing. The element of "fee simple " ownership that exists in deeded ownership of real property does not exist in any shape or form.
The product being sold is an open ended contract completely favoring the grantor (seller) .
The grantee (buyer) agrees to pay unlimited recurring fees in perpetuity pertaining to a subject property that is completely legally owned by someone else and yet according to the contracts involved he doesn't have any legal say whatsover regardng to its ushage or anything else.
They agree to pay fees forever in exchange for nothing at all.
There is usually no cap on the number of "time" shares sold petaining to each subject property either. Its absolutely unlimited.
You have to be a real peice of garbage to participate in selling those things because you have to actually be willing to purposely contrive to screw people over and over.
