I am wondering about what your worst looking keeper is. This can be foreign coins, silver, or any errors. No regular clad please unless it is in anyway valuable.
Bumping with my 1909 VDB. You can't see it, but I promise the VDB is on there (the coin is very smooth on the back except from the bumps that are the initials). I had to clean it just to see what it was, but the cleaning didn't do anything but make the details a little more defined.
I have a Mercury dime of unknown date that is of similar condition to your Canadian quarter, sag. I could just BARELY make out the obverse to identify it.
