What can I expect?

I found a 10k Gold Chain while metal detecting. It weighs about 14 grams. What can I expect to get for this melt value? I just don't want to take it to a local place and them try and screw me to be honest.

however most gold jewelry is undercarated by half a karat.. And you dont really got alot so if you sent it to a refinery like ARA, you gotta ship and then get a check.. and Its not gona be even $250... maybe $220-$230
