You know you want to list the loot. I gave all my overnight crew 20 bucks apiece. Maria made over 100 tamales for the day shift. Yesterday we went down and passed out cookies to all the help workin on Christmas eve and gave them to customers too. Although crass, it was a better idea to send money to a lot of the family, especially those in Mexico, as times are tough down there. I got Maria a gold and diamond bracelet that matches the earrings I bought last year. My arm and leg will grow back, eventually. It worked out pretty cool, cause I managed to give something to about 200 people total for around $3,000, not counting Maria. Not bad. Course, I give gifts for no reason all year long. So tell us the coolest thing you got.

We got a "Onesie" custom made Outfit for our daughter to be that reads; "My Daddy plays in the dirt" It has a cartoon picture of a man holding a metal detector.

Beat that! ;D

R, you're a good man. When I walked at Wally world around 1995, we all got a turkey and a 25.00 gift certificate, must be a Wal Mart supervision thing. Happy employees=loyal employees. i wish more people understood that.

That's priceless, Mike. :icon_pirat:

I got a "wolverines!" shirt (red dawn), a new Leatherman wave tool and a whole lot of bills. 8)
OOOH a Leatherman? That's a great gift B.

Walmart officially extends the 10% discount to food for this month, for Christmas. Rando, I do my stuff out of my own pocket, but those guys bring me stuff from Africa, Mexico, El Salvador, and where ever throughout the year. So I pay em back at Christmas. The store does put on a Christmas dinner for everyone. (And I never would have ever imagined that someday Muslims would come to me and ask me if certain food was ok to eat, and I would actually have studied up enough to answer them.)

We pretty much skipped the gift giving this year in our family due to economic issues. Mom made it clear it would put too many in the family in an awkward position if they received gifts and could not return the favor. We did have a blast with the little ones and their gifts though! Ya know what? Other than my son not being here his first Christmas out of the service I would have to say it was one of my best Christmas times yet! I invited alot of family and some friends and even a couple of groups staying in the motel that were dealing with hard times over and we ate entirely too much and thoroughly enjoyed celebrating our Lord and Savior's birth together! I must admit I wish I had one of those onesies for my one year old granddaughter though! lol What a hoot that would be! too cute!

Post a pic of that Wolverines red dawn shirt.

I got 2 detecting books

Metal Detecting Previously Hunted Sites

And
Where to find Treasure!

also

a package of socks

Hope you all had a good Xmas..............Matt

i got a bunch of fly fishing stuf, a gander mountain gift certificate. and, uh, i bought my self another machine. a garrett master hunter cx2. yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Man, I must stink. Got only one gift from a friend (?) in Chicago - long ways from Northern Lower Michigan. I got a package of socks, a bath gel (when I use it I have an urge to drink coffee...its a Mocha smelling thing) and a scrubby thing for the shower. That is it...nothing else, NADA, zip, zilch, etc.

What I had hoped for was a new coil for the Minelab Explorer II. Amazing too is how much I look like Santa when I have my Santa hat on (check out my FaceBook and you will see what I mean).

So anyway, glad others did well and HH.

Cool Wolverine shirt....love the movie Red Dawn and a Nam Vet :-) Good gift!

I think the best thing I got was my first gps. a tomtom xl. lots of little things too which I love and first time ever I got a pair of uggs.. and a dirt digging detector... hubby got me that one.. wohooo.. explorer xs .. been wanting one for a while. so am good to go now for the beaches with the xcal 2 and now the xs for dirt digging..

But the bestest part was having my first grandchild at Christmas, I adore her, my lil stinker.. I am very blessed and very thankful.

Some long sleeve shirts
Screwdriver set
U.S. Treasure Atlas Vol. 7
An awesome picture that my Grandmother put together of myself, my grandfather, and my great grandfather in military dress.
And, a whole lot of snow!!

We mostly bought for the children this year. The wife and I only bought small inexpensive presents for each other. Ate entirely too much and had a very joyus christmas. We celebrated the true meaning of christmas. I hope all had enough to eat and a warm place to sleep. rockhound

I got 1 gift ,, Ok I bought it my self and told everyone to wrap it and don't get me any thing else! It is a 12 volt solar battery charger that you plug into the accesery plug and it backs feeds into the system charging the battery up. I found it on sale at harbor freight for 14 bucks.

christmas... in my family the first year you celebrate christmas as
a 19 year old you never get a gift again! from the family. thats just how it works..
adults can buy things for themselves all year... kids cant... so thats why our
family only gives gifts to the kids...
WELL... i do give my mom a gift every year... because she is my mom..
and.... when i ask her for a favor or something most of the time shes
there to help me out.... so i always have something for her!!!
and this year she got me something!!! which was crazy!!! i told her
i wanted two things... that i was not willing to spend the money on for
myself... no matter how badly i wanted them.... and i would have been fine
never getting them... no big deal... but she got them for me!!! :hello2: :hello2:
maybe because they have my university logo on them....who knows?!?!
but either way.... i have the best mommy in the world!!!... and i love my
new "pink" USF diamond pants.... and matching jacket!! :icon_sunny: :icon_sunny: :icon_sunny:

I did well this Christmas. I got a book on colonial artifacts which has got me pumped to get out there when the snow melts, socks, some other books, a couple shirts, a light to wear on my noggin while I'm looking at my relics, and I got tickets to the 8th row center for a John Prine concert. :icon_thumleft:

I hit the jackpot! My wife & daughter got me a Lesche Sampson shovel, a lesche hand digger, and a Lortone tumbler,
my Dad got me a half gallon of booze and a case of beer.
Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Clause!!!!!!
Now all I need is for spring to start tomorrow so I can get back out MDing and try out my new toys.
Merry Christmas to every one.
Greg

Guess Santa was good to me. Went to work in my 2000 Camry on Wed, the 23rd. It ground ... like... grrrrr... all the way to work. Figured out it was finally embedded with dirt, grit and rock from my 1/2 mile driveway. Felt sorry for it. Couldn't get it out by normal washing methods. 'Bout noon, had found my replacement and called Dan and said: "Can I buy a pickup?" ".. sure??"

She's pretty, a 2005 Tundra, deep gray. Rides good and no major probs I've found. Kept the Camry; she's still a pretty sweet ride, just needs some TLC! She'll always be my fav. Dan's Tundra has duals with a deep baratone "haroooommmmm" sweet sound. Mine just says "hmmmmm," even though a V8 like Dan's. He says she's a sissy. ha!

Happy New Year! Great blessings to all my TN friends!!! -Noodle
