What ever happened to the "Sand Screw" ??

It was a different sort of scoop that screwed down into the sand to recover the target.
Havent seen one for a while.

I had a sand screw....It works real well in clean sand (no rocks or shells) not a reality in my neck of the woods (jersey shore)....I actually still have it....HH...Brian

Actualy, they worked fairly good in sand.
Rocks played havoc with them but in pure sand they worked decent.
One drawback is that it took both hands to use it.

I thought I still had mine in the shed but I cant find it anywhere.
Perhaps my next door neighbor thought it was a weed weasel or something and borrowed it.

I would think since one can basically use your foot to push away eight to 12 inches of sand, even wet sand very easily..I can only assume it would be used under water?

Nothing beats a Big Brute sand scoop with a long handle. You can dig it ddeeper and faster and use one foot and one hand. :headbang:
