It looks a lot like something I saw on Dec. 31 2006 in a wooded area in Virginia.

ok ok the second time i thought i heard " please dont leave " Its important to note i have been metal detecting out there since 11-2006 and i still find coins and stuff. Also 4 dog tags have been returned that were found out there.

Very interesting picture. Unfortunately I have to agree with the other posts about the origin of the orb. Most likely a dust particle or a bug. Very common occurance.

As for the voices....... can not explain that one. Next time you hear the voices..... ( sorry, I am laughing too hard.... Not at you, but at the fact that I am saying that your her voices......) Try to pose a question to the voice. Ask it, for instance, do you know what year it is? Or what is your name and rank? You might get a response.

"dust" or "a bug" are not common occurrences unless the person taking the pic is not someone who takes care of their equipment. That is not the case hear. For all you skeptics out there - go ahead and try and reproduce the exact result/effect shown in the photo above. Without the aid of ANY type of photo editing software. Try dust or a bug. Try moisture too. It will be impossible to get the same type of image. You don't have to post your results - just try it though and you'll see it really cannot be done.

aa - I'm not one that will tell you "it'll take you to the treasure" and all that other cooky guff - but I will say that I believe the orb is real. I've had some pretty unbelievable (even to myself) things happen to me (mainly in Va.) and since then, I never underestimate a story such as yours...

I haven't the patience to wait for a bug to pose in just the right spot, so I just used an
empty coke can to demonstrate the principle. With the camera defocused, I took the first
shot from beyond the effective range of the built in flash.

I then changed the camera's focus and turned on the far more powerful external flash.
This flash was able to light the scene from that distance, and, being further from the
lens axis, did not reflect the light straight back into the lens.
