Looks like it may be from the Mexican mint but from the pics it's hard to tell if it was hammered or cast ?

Welcome to Tnet from Mississippi.

If it's authentic, it was minted in Mexico City. It's denomination is determined (one way, at least) by weight.
The standard weight for an 8 reales coin is 27.468 grams; proportionately less for lower denominations (4,2, 1, and 1/2)
Welcome to TNet !!

Mack This one looks like it went through a fire? It looks melted on the edges? Almost bubbly I have a coin that went through a fire and the edges did this. At any rate I would say that it is more than likely a counterfeit but please weigh it and get back to us. If it is real it is pre 1607 when mexico started adding dates to them?
Welcome to Tnet

I agree with Bramblefind, especially after reviewing the 'cuts' in the item as being the same. (I'll dismiss the idea that the OP's item is the original and the other item is a relica of the OP's.) Since these coins were cut to exact weight by hand (shears), the chances of having the exact same cut marks (lenght and angle) are too remote (for me) to consider probable.

Thank you to everyone for the help and all the welcome messages.

I will weigh the coin and post the info in a few days.

Like others have said, it is a commonly encountered replica. Still cool though.

I agree with everyone here. A fake but fun find and welcome to T-net. Here is a picture of one I found at a park with my metal detector this past February.
