Does anyone know about antique bow's? The bow is fur-lined and there is some kind of writing, possibly Japanese. I was wondering how old it might be and where it came from.

Can you tell us anything about it's history? How did you
come to have it?

Historically, Japanese bows were long limbed, but other Asian
cultures produced shorter bows that were meant to be shot from
horseback.

Here is a group in Facebook that might be able to give you
better insight into it's history:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/asianarchery/about/

There is also a website/forum for traditional archery, and there
are some very knowledgeable people there as well. The website
is "Bowsite.com", and you would want to ask your question on
"The Leatherwall" forum.

It's a cool looking conversation piece. I may be completely wrong but these are my thoughts on it...

Personally, I think it is a fantasy piece made in the last 50 years. I think it was made for the tourist market mainly because...
A Mongol wouldn't use a metal riser in a frigid climate. It is metal of some sort correct?
Not the traditional material for a Mongolian bow.

This one sold for $90 with an arrow. They are calling it patinated bronze. To me it looks like white metal with the beginnings of zinc pest on it.. https://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/1816430_17-mongolian-bow-and-arrow-the-fur-covered-bow-with-a

That's it!! Thank you so much for the information, I really appreciate it. The item belongs to a friend and he was wondering if it was valuable or not. You answered my question.
