What is it?

[Joe G.]

Hello all,
Just wanted to stop in to ask the experts if they can give an opinion on the date of this piece. Unfortuantely, I only have a pic of the front.
I'm not looking to pinpoint anything as far as dates, but I would like to know if it is "modern" vs. Civil War. Thanks!

when you want the best, go to the best......

Great Seal logo was not used in Military applications until 1902.

If it is a button it would date from 1902-1910.

[fmerg]

it is a General Service, 2-piece, plain field, 1902
